An introduction to the wonderful and accessible art of linocut.

Learn how to design, carve and print your own single block linocut prints using traditional tools and techniques.
In this workshop we'll cover:
-tools and materials
-how to plan your design
-how to transfer it into a block of lino
-how to create different marks with linocutting tools, using them safely
-registration
-how to ink the block
-how to print by hand (with a spoon)By the end of the workshop you will have a small edition of your prints to take with you and the knowledge and skills to continue making linocuts at home, plus detailed notes about the process and recommendations for the materials and suppliers.
This is a very small class allowing for plenty of one-to-one assistance and guidance.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some previous experience.

This workshop is part of my solo exhibition at Whitespace gallery 5-10 of July. The opening night Fri 4th of July 6-8pm. Everyone is welcome!
