An original linocut, designed, carved on linoleum, individually inked with highly-pigmented ink in teal colour and handprinted on premium heavyweight paper (100% cotton rag Somerset paper, manufactured in the UK).
 
"The Scarlet Flower" is a story written in the 19th century by a Russian writer Sergei Aksakov - it's an adaptation of a traditional fairytale "The Beauty and The Beast". This story is very much loved in our house.
 

Paper  size appr 25x19cm, image size 17x11cm. Paper has handfinished torn edges so can be displayed without a mount.
 
Will be shipped flat, carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue and packaged in a protective envelop to ensure safe delivery.
