‘Three French hens ’ - third from a little series of illustrations of a well-known Christmas song "12 days of Christmas".
An original linocut, designed by myself, carved on linoleum and handprinted with highly pigmented oil-based ink on a variety of premium printmaking papers.
Limited varied edition. The following colour options are available (please see the photos for comparison and choose at the checkout):
1. Blue ink on Somerset Satin (heavyweight 100% cotton rag paper, manufactured at St Cumbert's Mill in the UK)
2. Red ink on Somerset Satin3. Gold ink on Zerkall printmaking paper
4. Burnt orange/light terracotta
5.Warm olive green
Each print is signed and numbered in pencil by myself.
Image size 20x20cm, paper size appr. 28x28cm.
Will be shipped flat wrapped in acid-free tissue, sandwiched between sturdy cardboards to ensure a safe delivery.
