Original linocut "Tree of Life", carved on linoleum and handprinted with oil-based ink on a selection of premium artist papers.
This is my take on a Tree of Life, or Tree of Knowledge, which is present, in one form or other, in many different cultures around the world. It was such a joy to create and I managed to fit 13 different creatures in it.
 
This is the second limited edition of this linocut. The first edition sold out before I could try various paper/ink combinations so, after much deliberation, I decided to make a second (and final) edition in new colours.
I used copper ink, which is not as shiny as the gold ink but has got a lovely warm sheen to it, when it catches the light. There is also one non-copper colour way: a lovely calm blue/duck egg shade, the same that I mixed for my "Firebird" linocut.
 
Image size 30x30 cm, paper size appr 40x38cm.
Hand-torn edges so can be framed mounted or unmounted (with exposed edges). 
 
The following colour options are available:
1. Copper on white paper
2. Copper on black
3. Copper on indigo blue
4. Blue on white
 
Numbered and signed by the artist (me🙂)
 
Because the image is inked and printed by hand there may be slight variations in tone and colour. 
 
Due to the large size will be shipped carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue and cellophane and rolled in a sturdy postal tube  to ensure safe delivery.
